I filed for divorce with myself the other day
Only half of me saw it coming either way
I couldn’t talk the other half of me to stay
And I’m breaking up again

It ain’t funny but I’m laughing like it was
It’s a tragic comedy where the fatal flaw is us
It’s co-dependency but I’d rather call it love And I’m breaking up again

The flip side of faith is doubt
But I’m the one I can’t figure out

The “royal we” for all the me that I contain
I only wish that I had someone else to blame
But when you fight yourself it’s hard to walk away
And I’m breaking up again
