Testo This Is Progress

I'm just a kid waiting for a prophet
to say something for me to believe in.
im just a kid, im just a kid.
so please give me something more to latch onto. ive lost all faith in those who are hopeful,
and i dont have what i once had.
ive lost all hope in those who are faithful
and im giving up entirely.
and i know that its time for this kid to grow up. to be the tree of a seed once planted the sun is shining the birds are singing.
for each dawn a new day for each day a new chance. im losing sight of saviors but maybe its better. seeing who i am for what ive done,
brings a smile to this face
no prophet spoke for my mistakes.
breaking it all down for me to see what im going to be.
broken mirrors reflecting fallen stars and in these pieces i find my life.
no one told me this would be easy.
im packing up im starting over.
a future uncertain holding only the lessons that ive learned.
ill draw my own maps. my own conclusions.
ill write the ends to these chapters.
im just an artist. an author. no fuckin prophet
