There's something peaceful 'bout my thoughts when the sun's shining
I take my dog around the block, amazed with what he's finding
Reminding me life's all perspective, constant improvising
And why the path I follow is God's, 'cause He got perfect timing

Morning coffee on my sectional, a prized possession
It fills a void inside this room, it grounds my life's direction
To build this home with a family is lately my obsession 'Cause to me, that's how you define success and progression

Still unfinished business that I'm tryna chase
Dragons that I'm tryna slay
Storybook adventure while returning to my castle's gates
Pain made my life complete, worth living every day
So now I appreciate it more, pray I don't forget that lesson

Through the trials of my life
When it's cold, when it's dark, when my plans ain't going right
And that compassion in my heart is more than just a verse I write
Think forgiveness is power, tryna harness all its might

Maybe then I'd be invincible, supreme, unstoppable on my quest
I know anger like a poison-it keeps you hurting, depressed So I stress: let it go, take a walk or a breath
And protect your inner peace at all cost, nothing less

These reminders to myself that I need, music that comforts me
I ain't preaching how I'm perfect, my own advice I should heed
And receive in my soul, you know how the saying goes
"If at first you don't succeed, learn something you ain't before"

And try, try again, I know shit's tiring
Sharing all my failures with the world, think they inspiring
One day I'll look back when I'm old, in retirement
Knowing I did all with the cards I was dealt, yea, let's go
