one day you were just there, no one knew why or from where. you came and never left, but still I felt bereft. this day, now long ago, I thought to reap you must sow. days came and went away, and life felt old and gray. you were my glimmer of hope, the one straw for me to grasp. I thought you would help me cope, no matter it could not last. one day was all it took, to change my life forever. one day and my world shook, and it was now or never. one day was all I got, and there would be nothing more. one day I chose my lot, this is it, forevermore. I never made the choice, as though I had lost my voice. I got carried away, not aware I had to pay. I thought I was sincere, so why am I still here? I know I could just leave, but can I still believe?
