Day by Day she was the light in my life, she helped me deal with the mindless strife, she lended a helping hand even when the hand helping was in pain she never used my name in vain. Even when i lost sight she would never complain, she was old, but oh so bold. I paid attention to every story she told she told me stories of friendships, she told me stories of Faith, She told me stories with truth. Anything to keep me straight. I remember waking to a soothing voice at the bottom of the stairs, she was always happy despite her impairs. The cancer grew thicker, our relation ship grew thinner. All Grown up you would have thought i'd know better i never thought i could be so selfish. You wouldave thought i'd be the one by the death bed.You would have thought i'd be the one to spend each day with her but i moved on ahead. She raised me right and i treated her wrong, now all i can do is sing this sad fucking song
