Testo Fall

A scarf to warm
feet are tightly clasped
so tightly woven
in the tall brown grass
fall is here
the cold wind blows
I take another drink
and my cooled blood slows and I cannot help but wonder why
why I see so many around me cry

cause I'm not one to look back
and blame the past for where I'm at

I've made my share
of fools known follies
and giant falters
of greatest anomaly life makes life hard
and the boos won't sooth the pain
the friends I make and the pills I take
will only bring the grave
