When autumn winds begin to blow I think of all the times gone by Of all the discontent we know A quiet tear comes to my eye It gives me a sad heart The wind blows cold upon my face The dry leaves floated to the ground The land has something out of place What is that low and mournful sound It gives me a sad heart Now winter cloaks a landing wide Forgotten bells begin to ring But there's no silence on this night And there is no tanking sense to bring It gives me a sad heart The warmth of spring now solve the snow The grass returns the flowers bloom No changes often come too slow The smell of hope is sweet perfume I can't have a sad heart As I sit by the riverside The water flowing at my feet The sun kiss all the country side Misfortunes come but life is sweet I can't have a sad heart.
