TWEVLE YEAR CIRCUSit was a day like any othermy son he turned to me and saidfather wherever did we go so wrongi thought it over for a minute and saidson for twelve yearsthere was a circussometimes i want to dream my life awayand other times it all seems wrongstill other days i want to throw my life awaythat's when i know i don't belongnow when i'm down some people ask mejust when and where my luck did changei smile and say the eighties broke my spirit'cause when the circus came to towni was in it's waythis charade is not for mejust put aside what i think it means to mejust put aside my eccentricitiesthere's nothing for me in this one horse townat least until the circus came around
