Testo Sinking Ship

All hail the invisible
the ties that hold us together
led by the neck and bound by the wrist
all hail the collective hallucination
the shackles of church and state
the twin addictions that keep us all in chains

clinging to the mast of the sinking ship
two organs in need of removal
to stem the spread of disease
poisoning our blood for thousands of years

there will be no deliverance
the rapture has come and gone
the proud and faithful on
a deck slick with vomit and piss
screaming prayers as the ship goes down
