Shimmering light danced
on the water all year
dawn of the crumbling sky
the blue slurred so softly by
suddenly a breath of wind
caught a golden carpet of crystal
i saw a buttery sun
and i watched as it melted away in this new evolution

gripping white fingers
of the warriors came crashing
down around them
they would stream into spirals
from their vaulting paths
and the children of the earth

on the crafty water
as some went frolicking trotting down to the shoreline
