I stepped into the car, with just three people over the edge,
I could see right through their heads,

We gave one look each to the other,
It was us in a circle, my friends and my lover,
The talking kept going but no one was sure what was said.
When did I decide to change my life?
It was a waste of time.
The lights that light my life say I'm just fine.

They were talking in tongues, not that their words did make much sense;
Must have been a voice in their heads,
Kept saying la da da da da da da da...

The very next day, all those thoughts I did put away,
But they were still the same.
'Cause the thoughts kept on racing, emotions can play with the brain.
