Testo Miracle Mile

This is the time of empty tomorrows, constant sorrows, as we try to hold our heads up high.
But even our fast cars can't escape the stars that hang so mockingly above our heads.
Hold your foot down on the gas, try to make this torture pass, but know the present and the future can't be made the past.
But we're going to keep on driving, keep our hopes up for bluer skies, anywhere has got to be better than here, we can't give up on finding the place where beauty lies.

Still we know we're only running from ourselves
And it's going to be a while before we can escape this hell
But if we keep counting the miles, and live through our trials, maybe one day we can look back on our lives and say it was all worthwhile.
