Precipitation is fogging her glasses
Her heavy heart fogs his brain
She mumbles whispers
Something about,
"I just can't be what you need"

Her back is turned
And she's fleeing the scene Her hair, a metronome
His head is dropped in utter defeat
He knows she's leaving home

Cause every time you're near
All I see are my own imperfections
That's why I'm in this car
Driving in the other direction
Throw away our photo albums
And rip the pictures off the wall
I was never worth the effort
Never worth the time at all
