Testo Chickens

Daddy's got twenty-seven cars
Sittin' around, trailin' his land
In each car he keeps a chicken
He's been gathering eggs by hand
He says
"Darlin', I need some help
I can't get all these eggs by myself."
My sister says
"Don't help him"
But I hear his blood yearning
The blood says
"Get some pliers;
There are bugs in your teeth."
Daddy, I need some help
I can't pull these teeth out by myself

My mother says
"Don't help him"
As she pulls out her stitches
He killed her favorite goat
And deliciously fed us them
Pieces of flesh in my handKeep them warm so I can reattach them

I unhitched his trailer
Which did to what I kicked
It rolled down the hillside
Killing raccoons in its way
