to the rhythm of the the 70's post punk band
that played at my friend's loft
we got way too drunk
we forgot the band's name by the end of it all

I know bands who don't give a fuck
well, they dress like a band but they don't play enough
because they think they got an in
with their off shore friends
play for fifty drunk people who barely listen

I'm too busy to wash my hair
or change my clothes, 'cause it shows i don't care
i make all the best art
my friends say i'm a star
and when worst comes to worst
yeah, i drive my own car
i read first edition books
i give out all the dirty looks
yeah, i liked that new band
way before the first hook
Molded like clay
for your friends to sculpt
this place is pretty lame
i should've stayed home
