Testo Wide Asleep

all night long
i'm tossing-turning like
a fever burning in my mind
somethings wrong
'coz when i close my eyes
my heart starts beating like a drum
i need some peace but every time
i try to sleep i have a nightmare where i'm falling off a mountain
into nothing, out of nowhere
and the ground below me, violently exploding
leaves a message of wreckage fot decades
rotting, corroding
but before i bottom out, i wake up suddenly
and breathe a heavy sigh of relief
that i'm still in one piece
or better yet that i'm free, without the tyranny
of oppression, depression like a cloud over me
i'm hanging on to ancient memories
like a shadow over me tonight
morning light
comes creeping through the blinds
and i'll be forced to rise & shine
