So take a step back and feel the air in my breathe. I've waited so long to take up all of your time. And all the hell you put me through? I think that I deserve this. So I'm gone. So long to all the shit in my head that's kept me down for one more day. I've got to find another way to get out of this town. I think I've found the words to say I'm breaking down. I pray to God you found a way. Just stay awake tonight. Two hundred miles and highway signs can't keep my heart inside. You're the closest thing to home. And I know that I've been so uptight. I missed the point, came up too shy. I just need a change of scene--turn my darkest blues to greens and I'm gone. And she says the sun shines brighter down south, and we all know that I could use the breeze. But just this once, all the sand and the palm trees can't replace you in my head.
