Clean me up and cut my hair.
Take me home. Take me anywhere.
Can't you see that we all agree, you belong to me, anyway, now.

Won't you wake me up from this winter nap.
Run your fingers across my back.
New Year's Day isn't far away. It's not long to wait to celebrate, now.
But, if you need some time to think about your conscience or your pride,
Or the many things you swore to God and said you promised when you died.
Won't you fix me up a drink and, bring it here and, set it by my side for me.

I'll hibernate and toss and turn, grind my teeth, let my fever burn,
and hold you near for another year - for another year, anyway now
