Testo Drowned River

I`ve lost what once made me laugh. I thought I knew this feeling. I thought I was where I was meant to be, yet you`ve split our passion apart. The truth was too hard for me to face. I felt like a drowned river. No longer do I have the pleasure of big expectations. A foggy feeling lingers on; Old photos are fading. This will not change till I face my bitter lies. I opened up to life, And suddenly it has gone. It wasn`t my day, it was yours. (The days of) storm and thunder proved stronger. They`ve extinguished the flame. Your charm and your laughter remain with me in memory alone, leaving behind a drowned river. No longer do I have the scent of your skin, the sound of your words, nor your feelings. Everything remains out of reach. I thought I was good enough. I thought I could stay. Everything was different in my dream. I wonder what you`re doing now. How I`d love to be by your side! Every day brings thoughts of times gone by, of what I wanted, of what I loved, and have no more. No longer do I have the scent of your skin, the sound of your words, nor your feelings. Everything remains out of reach. I thought I was good enough. I thought I could stay. Everything was different in my dream. The castles in the air have crumbled, the dream is over, I now have to fight my way through the clouds till I see, once again, the light of the sun. The things I have no more are the sound of your laughter, your voice, and your thoughts. Everything remains out of reach. Everything was different in my dream. Yet I must wait. I may meet you again, - one to one ? The flow of the river will tell.
