Testo Last One Through The Door

I work all day but no for money money is not enough so many skeletons in my closet I got no room for the other stuff never lived anyplace where i felt at home sold my possessions just to make the rent I paid more for what I wanted than the time and money that I spent it'll cost you, that's for sure to be the last one through the door I was feeling 'bout as lonely as Elvis Presley I was not left, I stayed behind took a summer job that lasted ten years selling photographs in the land of the blind whistling past the police station winked at the jury, I smiled at the judge but they'd already made their minds up I said "This town sure knows how to hold a grudge" they said " Boy this ain't no game no more, fool around you'll be the last one through the door" There's some pretty boy in a cowboy hat he's playin' for silver, I'm playing for blood he's going on about Texas but I don't believe he's ever heard Fandango or Texas Flood I got a woman right over there she rides with me from town to town she keeps me fed, she keeps me laughing she don't mind waitin' round she knows the one she's waitin' for is gonna be the last one through the door I took the long way, that's for sure I was the last one through the door
