Lord Carnavon (Text:Friedewald Musik :Arndt/Bogoslaw) After Lord Carnarvon got the telegram He promised to arrive in Egypt At november 1922 But before he had some meetings with fortune tellers of the land Each told him with a warning voice not to travel to the place ?kings valley? He didn`t listen to their words His curiosity was too strong And so he took the next ship on his way to Alexandria Now the day has come to open the grave A great treasure was the result What a glory moment for the crew At the hour when the grave-seal was broken A snake killed Carnarvon`s bird The workers explain that incident As an omen with the first beginning But Carnarvon had no ear-for the warnings all the time And so he organized the removing of the grave Refrain: The death will kill the one with his swings Who disturbs the place to rest of the pharao At the first week of march 1923 after month working at King`s valley A mosquito bite the lord on his neck When he came out of the grave He cuts the sting with a razor`s blade the next day in the morning He felt sick a few days later Fits of dizzness and strong pain And so he died at the fifth of April 1923 Refrain: The death will kill the one with his swings Who disturb the place to rest of the pharao Far away in England whined Carnarvon`s lovely dog Far away in England whined Carnarvon`s lovely dog -and fell down dead
