Testo Way Deep Down

Jezebel is dancing with her long black hair
daring me to come out for a date with Lucifer
silently we walk along - together side by side
there's a whisper in the darkness and a promise in the night

Jezebel keeps walking – another endless mile
through the clouds the moon reveals her devious little smile
there's a black wind blowing – a somber, torrid heat running through me like the fire of an unaccomplished need

Way deep down – beneath the lowest layer
dreams creep in – to catch you in their maze
Way deep down – neither curse nor prayer
helps you see – through the haze

Jezebel is moving in a steady forward flow
all along I'm wondering how far she'll make me go
walking down this strange path, where passion faces gloom
I see outlines of a figure in the pale light of the moon

Like an unasked question why - and the longing in an eye An illusion so devine – vivid pictures of the mind

Jezebel is fading into the breaking dawn
hovering above myself I feel a little torn
black turns grey and I'm alone with nothing left around
but the crackling of a fire and the hoof-prints on the ground
