Now gone, long gone.
She's fighting the waves that would carry her back to the shore.
And she's lost and falling away.
Torn from the sheets so inviting, but now out of place. So I ask,

What was the worst thing I ever told you the last time you wandered out on your own?
For a second I thought you might change your mind.
Just know that sometimes those things that you wish for come true, just not the way that you wanted them to.

Wait til the moment is right before you close your eyes.
Just stay awake for one minute more.
Saving yourself for a chance to do better might bring you home.
