This is a habit of mine
the things we can't keep inside
the way you close your eyes
the bluest of blue skies

the skin that always shows
the hair that always grows
now everybody knows we all have one of those

day or night the stars still shine
their either yours or mine
it's hard to say but it's true
the stars are closer than you

i've got words that i use
words i hold words i abuse
i've got things i lose
like yesterday's news

but i am talking to you
it's cold here i'm shivering
i'm just passing through there's always more to do
