Where were we?
We were barely visible
Like headlights through the snow
You can't tell one from two, don't you know?
A world apart
Our hands divide the space
Not sure where to rest our eyes
While the years are passin' by It's easy to find the Northern Star
Much harder to know just where you are
These things will deceive you
Leave you dumbfounded and spinning
Reeling and grinning like a fool
But we're not the ones who follow the footprints in the snow
Without knowing where they go

We saw this thing comin'
But we looked away instead
Change the paint
Move the table and the chairs
It's no way to fix what's broken It's not getting us ... anywhere
It's easy to find the Northern Star
